Diamond Girls is one of the best
books I have ever read. It is full of adventure, fun, surprises and is generally a fantastic story. In
this book there are five main characters. They are Dixie, Rochelle,
Jude, Martine
and Mum. The story starts when Mum announces that she is having a baby
and that they would all be
moving house. At first they couldn't wait because it sounded so
glamorous but when they arrived, they realized that it was't the
beautiful house they'd seen on the photo but a horrible dump where
everything was
dirty, untidy and absolutely revolting. The girls tried their hardest
to tidy it up but even after days of hard work, it was still terrible.
The only good part of it was the garden. Dixie had incredible
fun in it and even
met a new friend called Mary. After lots of adventures,
everyone has a happy ending. Overall it is a FANTASTIC book and I would
reccomend it to children above six.
