Primary 5B entered a competition to go and hear Jacqueline Wilson speaking at the Steps Theatre. We had to submit three original questions and our winning question was, "Do you advise Nick Sharratt how to illustrate your characters or does he use his own ideas?" When I asked Jacqueline the question she replied that in her first book she told Nick how to draw everything but now he does it on his own. She also read some of her new book "Starring Tracy Beaker" which will be out in October. She got the idea for Tracy Beaker's surname when she was washing her hair with a beaker. We all enjoyed her talk very much and we hope to have this opportunity again.
